Dr. Alissa Tran came to the US in 1980 when she was 11 years old. Her family settled in Denver, Colorado, and she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biochemistry at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1989. She earned a Master of Biochemistry Degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia in 1992 and attended Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia where she graduated with top honors. Afterward, she pursued orthodontics training at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
While completing her residency in Orthodontic Dentistry in 2000, Dr. Tran also earned another master’s degree by conducting research in molecular biology in craniofacial growth and development at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Tran has been practicing orthodontics ever since, and she is committed to providing the highest level of orthodontic care to her patients in achieving their best smiles
Dr. Tran enjoys a healthy, active lifestyle. She loves playing tennis, practicing meditation, traveling, cooking, and growing microgreens. She also cherishes time spent with her two sons, Alan and Max, and their two dogs.
